WARNING
If air lines are disconnected when they are under 125± 5 psi (862± 34 kPa) pressure, they
can whip around. Care should be exercised when disconnecting an air hose that is thought
to be under pressure. Be sure to wear proper eye protection. Failure to comply may result in
injury or death to personnel.
3.
Have assistant turn engine start switch to OFF. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
4.
If connected, disconnect air hose 2660 from TK pressure transducer (blue stripe).
5.
If disconnected, connect air hose 2660 to quick release valve.
6.
If connected, disconnect air hose 2639 from TK pressure transducer (blue stripe).
7.
If disconnected, connect air hose 2639 to front brake relay valve.
8.
Charge trailer air system. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
9.
Ensure vehicle is returned to normal operating condition.
10.
Have assistant turn engine start switch to ON. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
11.
Push in trailer charge valve in vehicle. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
12.
While assistant fully applies brake pedal, observe brake operation. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual
(WP
0190).
CONDITION/INDICATION
Do service brakes apply correctly?
DECISION
BRAKES PASS - Problem fixed.
BRAKES FAIL - Problem is not fixed. Problem may have been missed during previous steps of troubleshooting.
Repeat all previous steps of this procedure. Go to (Step 1 - Are air lines 2255, 2260, 2637, 2638, 2639, 2660,
fittings, load sensing valve, and quick release valve free of leaks and crimps?). If problem still exists after all
troubleshooting tests are accomplished, contact your Supervisor.
