Inspect drum for heat cracks, rust, petrol based contaminants and other damage that will cause brakes to grab.
CONDITION/INDICATION
Are brake drums free of contaminants and/or damage?
DECISION
Drum OK - Go to (Step 8 - Are brake shoes and components free of contaminants and/or damage?).
Damaged - Go to (Step 7 - Can brake drum be cleaned?).
