Hook up trailer air lines on vehicle (TM 9-2330-342-10) (WP
0190).
WARNING
Do not work under trailer unless the wheels of the vehicle and trailer are chocked, the trailer
is on level ground, and the vehicle engine is shut off. Failure to comply may result in injury
or death to personnel.
WARNING
An assistant must be in the vehicle cab at all times while someone is checking brakes under
the trailer to prevent vehicle movement. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel.
WARNING
Do not hook up trailer drawbar or trailer safety chains while someone is checking the brakes
under the vehicle. If trailer safety chains or drawbar are hooked up, it may be possible for the
trailer to be dragged forward or backwards if the vehicle should move. Failure to comply may
result in injury or death to personnel.
10.
With the aid of an assistant, start vehicle and allow air pressure to build up to 100 psi (689 kPa) minimum.
11.
Measure distance between center of large clevis pin (Figure 5, Item 2) and bottom of brake chamber (Figure
5, Item 1) (measurement C), with brake in released position. Record measurement.
