Attach hoist to final drive lifting sling.

Take up slack in hoist.

Install two headless shoulder pins into

holes located 180 degrees apart.

Install three hexagon head capscrews into

jacking holes.

lighten three hexagon head capscrews

evenly until final drive breaks loose.

Hoist final drive (13) and remove from hull.

Remove shaft nut (14) and lock ring (15)

from final drive (13).

Remove three hexagon head capscrews.

Remove two headless shoulder pins.

Disconnect hoist and final drive lifting

sling.

Remove pin (16), bolt (17), and two plugs

(18) .

Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing parts.

Repair by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-1).
