When installing new engine, use ex-
haust pipes from old engine.
install transfer assembly (1) on transmis-
sion assembly (2), refer to page 2-93.
Install new flywheel housing gasket (3) on
diesel engine (4) .
Install flexible shaft coupling (5), new pre-
formed packing (6), 12 new self-lockin g
bolts (7), and retainer (8) on diesel engine
(4) .
Lift and carefully swing engine from sup-
port. install diesel engine (4) to transmis-
sion and transfer assemblies (2 and 1).
Install 14 new Iockwashers (9), nine
1-1/2-in. hexagon head capscrews (10) ,
three 2-1/4-in. hexagon head capscrews
(11), and two 3-1/2-in. hexagon head cap-
screws (12) securing diesel engine (4) to
transfer assembly (1) .
