14 Using retaining ring pliers, remove retain-
ing ring (17) from motor housing (3).
15 Using hammer and drift, remove motor
shaft annular ball bearing (18) from
motor housing (3).

Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing
5 If shouldered shaft is broken, damaged, or
parts.
If cap is broken, damaged, or missing,
repair is by replacement of next higher
assembly.
If plate is broken, damaged, or missing,
repair is by replacement of next higher
assembly.
If motor plate pin is broken, damaged, or
missing, repair is by replacement of next
higher assembly.

7 If any kit components are damaged,
replace entire winch motor parts kit.
