Connect alternator test kit (WP 0019 00).

Check capacitors from field to ground (test harness lead

2 to ground) with multimeter.

Does multimeter read between 100,000 ohms and infinity?

Replace generator (WP 0228 00).

2.

Repeat charging system operational

check (WP 0020 00).

Does multimeter read between 100,000 ohms and infinity?

Repeat charging system operational
