Ramp lowered (see your -10)
All radios and heaters OFF (see your -10)
Battery box cover removed (WP 0295 00 or WP 0306 00)

Disconnect battery ground lead (WP 0294 00).
2.
Check all electrical connectors, harnesses, and cannon plugs
before connecting alternator test kit.
3.
Are connectors and cannon plugs tight and pins in place in
harnesses?

1.
Tighten or repair connections,
cannon plugs, and harnesses. Use
electrical connector pliers.
2.
Repeat charging system operational
check (WP 0020 00).

1.
Check generator drive belt.
2.
Is belt tight and in good condition?
YN
1.
Adjust generator (WP 0228 00) or
replace drive belt (WP 0234 00).
2.
Repeat charging system operational
check (WP 0020 00).

Connect alternator test kit (WP 0019 00).
2.
Measure battery voltage using multimeter.
3.
Start engine and check generator field switch circuit
(lead to ground).
4.
Is battery voltage present?

1.
Repair generator field switch circuit
(WP 0232 00).
2.
Repeat charging system operational
check (WP 0020 00).
