REPLACE HORIZONTAL AMMUNITION RACK (M1064 ONLY) — Continued

INSTALLATION

WARNING

Rear trays of ammo rack could collapse when removed. To prevent injury, move ammo rack

from the front. Keep fingers away from spaces between trays on the back of ammo rack.

1.

Position horizontal ammunition rack (1) on sponson. Jam rack against other rack, if installed. Have helper assist.

2.

Install two screws (2), washers (3), and vertical posts (4) on sponson.

NOTE

Start installation of 18 screws inside hull from top and work down. Rack mounting holes may

be elongated to 3/16 inch (5 mm) to match hole pattern.

Install 18 screws (5) and washers (6) in rack assembly (1) and side hull.

4.

Position two brackets (7) against hull top plate and top of rack (1). Install four screws (8) and washers (9) in brackets (7)

and hull top plate. Close all ammo doors.
