REPLACE MISSILE RACK (M901A1 ONLY) — Continued

Install lower rack (7), middle rack (8), and upper rack (9).

Install six headed straight pins (10).

Tighten 12 screws (6) to secure clevises (3).

Remove six headed straight pins (10), upper rack (9), middle rack (8), and lower rack (7).

TIGHTEN 12 SCREWS (6) TO 216-264 LB-IN (24-30 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench and socket set.

Install lower rack (7). Secure with eight flanged bushings (11), if removed, four shim washers (12), headed straight

pins (10), and new cotter pins (13).

9.

Install two brackets (14) on carrier. Secure with two new lockwashers (15), washers (16), and screws (17).

10. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (17) TO 216-264 LB-IN (24-30 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench and socket set.

11. Install two brackets (14) on lower rack (7). Secure with two washers (18), screws (19), washers (20), and nuts (21).

12. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (19) TO 216-264 LB-IN (24-30 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench and socket set.

13. Install middle rack (8) and upper rack (9) on carrier. If removed, secure with 16 flanged bushings (11), eight shim

washers (12), four headed straight pins (10), and four new cotter pins (13). Use shim washers (12) as required at missile

clevis points to ensure no more than 0.002-inch end movement.

14. Adjust latches (22) for positive overcenter locking action.

15. TIGHTEN LATCH SECURING SCREWS (23) TO 84-108 LB-IN (10-12 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench and

socket set.
