REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING LIGHTS — Continued

INSTALLATION
NOTE
Make sure circuit leads are connected to correct lights. See wiring diagrams at the end (Vol. 6).
1.
If removed, install light assembly (4).
a.
Place light assembly (4) on rear of warning lights panel (9). Secure with two new lockwashers (8) and screws (7).
b.
Connect circuit lead (6) to light assembly (4).
Install light bulb (1).
a.
Install gasket (5) and light bulb (1) in light assembly (4). Push and turn light bulb to the right to secure.
b.
Install gasket (3) and lens (2) in light assembly (4). Turn lens to the right to secure.
FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS
1.
Connect battery ground strap (WP 0337 00), (WP 0338 00), or (WP 0339 00).
2.
Turn MASTER SWITCH to ON (see your -10).
3.
Check instrument panel warning lights as follows (see your -10):
a.
TRANS FILTER CLOGGED light should be off.
b.
Ground circuit 323 lead at back of panel. TRANS FILTER CLOGGED light should be on. Remove ground.
c.
TRANS OIL LOW PRESS light should be on.
d.
PARKING BRAKE light should be on when parking brake is on.
e.
Turn on headlights and depress high beam selector switch (see your -10). HEADLIGHTS HI BEAM light should
be on when headlights are on high beam. Turn off headlights.
f.
ENGINE COOLANT LOW LEVEL light should be off. It will come on when you ground circuit 352 lead.
g.
TRANS OIL HI TEMP indicator should be off. It will come on when you ground circuit lead 327.
h.
ENGINE OIL LOW PRESS indicator should be on.
i.
STEERING LOCKED indicator should be on when transmission controller is in SL.
4.
Turn MASTER SWITCH to OFF (see your -10).
