CLEANING
CAUTION
Do not use wire brush to clean ramp wire rope (cable). A wire brush will destroy the protective
galvinized finish of the wire strands of the cable. Destroying the protective finish will promote
corrosion of the ramp wire rope (cable). Use a general purpose scrub brush and cleaning
compound to clean the ramp wire rope (cable).

With ramp in fully open/lowered position and, again, when ramp is in the fully closed and locked position, clean ramp
wire rope (cable) with cleaning compound. Vigorously scrubtherampwirerope(cable)withageneralpurposescrub
brush in the direction the cable lay to remove dirt and debris from between wire strands. Dry with wiping rag.
