INSPECT RAMP WIRE ROPE (CABLE) — Continued

Refer to (Step 3) for inspection criteria.

With ramp fully closed and locked, inspect visible area of ramp wire rope (cable) (2) from mounting connection(4), at

anchor cylinder piston rod end, to ramp cable pulleys(1) at rear of carrier.

NOTE

All support art is exaggerated to more adequately demonstrate the conditions/defects being

described.

Inspect ramp wire rope (cable) for following conditions/defects:

a.

Surface dings (5), cuts (6), gouges (7), or other physical damage caused when struck by foreign objects.

b.

Bulges (8) – indicates breakage and/or compression of one or more wire strands within interior and localized

area or ramp wire rope (cable).
