INSPECT RAMP WIRE ROPE (CABLE) — Continued

INSPECTION

NOTE

Inspection of the ramp wire rope (cable) will conducted in two phases.

The first phase will inspect the ramp wire rope (cable) with the ramp in the fully open/lowered

position. The second phase will inspect the ramp wire rope (cable) with the ramp fully closed

and locked.

It will be required to start and stop engine (TM 9-2350-277-10) frequently during this inspection

to permit lowering (opening)and raising (cloaing) of ramp, as required.

WARNING

Ramp wire rope (cable) failure may cause bodily injury or death to personnel or damage

to equipment.

NOTE

Refer to (Step 3) for inspection criteria.

With ramp in fully open/lowered position, inspect visible area of ramp wire rope (cable) (2) from anchor point on ramp

(3) to ramp cable pulleys (1) at rear of carrier.
