58. Route cable 3W6 (6) to vehicle wall, beside radio rack, and down to side of battery box (7). Thread cable 3W6 into

rubber grommet (5) and install rubber grommet into hole in side of battery box.

WARNING

To avoid personnel injury or damage to equipment, when removing positive cable, avoid any

contact of positive battery cable with surrounding metal surfaces. Contact can cause battery

arcing or explosion. Wear safety glasses.

CAUTION

To prevent damage to equipment, ensure power is turned off at power distribution assembly

(PDA) before battery connections are made.

CAUTION

To avoid damage to power distribution assembly (PDA), do not connect cable 3W6 to PDA prior

to installation of terminal lugs on battery terminals.

59. Remove battery terminals from battery posts before installation of cable 3W6 (6).

60. Install terminal lug (1) of cable 3W6 (6) and nut (9) on positive terminal of battery (8).

61. Install terminal lug (2) of cable 3W6 (6) and nut (3) on negative terminal of battery (4).

62. Install battery terminals on battery posts.

63. Stow extra length of cable 3W6 (6) in battery box (7).

64. Secure cable 3W6 (6) with loop clamps and tie straps as required. Use existing hardware and standoffs, as available.
