each side, through upper-rear bolt holes in
power takeoff pads. Tighten bolts to 10 to 12
pound-feet torque. These bolts secure intermediate
clutch back plate (B) during disassembly.
(A) loosen and remove diaphragm assembly (B).
Remove shims (under diaphragm).
CAUTION
Tighten puller bolts (A) evenly to avoid
cramping diaphragm (B) in its bore.
NOTE
A needle bearing assembly and washer may
come off with diaphragm assembly. If they
did, inspect underside of diaphragm, and
remove them.
