b. Cleaning. There are no special cleaning procedures needed. Refer to
cleaning procedures given in para 4-3.

NOTE
If working on model with exhaust elbow (1), do steps 1
through 4.
If working on model with exhaust adapter
(2), go to frame 3.
Check that exhaust elbow (1) has no cracks, holes or burned areas. If it
does, get a new one.
Check that flanges of exhaust elbow (1) have no burned areas and are not
warped.
If flanges are damaged, get a new exhaust elbow.
Check that sections of expansion bellows (3) have not come apart. If
expansion bellows are damaged, get a new exhaust elbow (1).
Check that flanges of exhaust elbow (1) have no nicks or burrs. Take out
small nicks or burrs with a fine mill file.
If more repair is needed, get a new
exhaust elbow.
