Remove and discard lower sleeve bearing (4) and thrust washer bearing (5).

NOTE
It is not necessary to remove the third retaining ring from the bearing housing unless it is
worn or damaged. If removal is necessary, use retaining ring pliers.
d. Remove metal seal ring (6) from turbine wheel and shaft assembly. Discard metal seal ring.
