The multifunction valve is sometimes called the "air pressure relay valve" or "spring
brakevalve."

REMOVAL
FRONT
1.
Open drain cocks (para 3-8).

Tag and disconnect 11 air hoses (1)
from multifunction valve (2).

Remove multifunction
valve (2),
lockwasher (3), and cross tube fitting
(4)frorn mounting bracket (5). Discard
0
lockwasher.
NOTE

Repair
is limited
to the
replacement
of hardware.

Wrap threaded
ends of all
brass fittings with two turns of

antiseizing tape. Antiseizing
tape is not required for brass-

to-brass fittings.
