EQUIPMENT CONDITION

Engine mounted on repair stand (para. 3-29).

Soft-head hammer (Appendix B, Item 47)

Fan blade removed (TM 9-2320-260-20).

Removal

Check and record vibration damper runout and wobble (para. 3-5)

prior to removal.

1.

Remove six screws (3) and lockwashers (2) from vibration damper (1) and crankshaft flange (4).

Discard lockwashers (2).

2.

Using soft-head hammer, tap vibration damper (1) and remove from crankshaft flange (4).
