Lifting brackets and rocker lever housing covers
removed (para. 3-36).
NOTE
c All rocker lever housings are removed the same. This procedure
covers one rocker lever housing.
l Rocker lever housings are installed with screw-assembled
washers on late model engines.

Loosen six locknuts (4) and turn out six adjusting screws (3) two turns counterclockwise on six
rocker levers (2).
2. Remove five screw-assembled washers (1), radiator bracket (9), rocker lever housing (8), and
gasket (7) from cylinder head (6). Discard gasket (7).
CAUTION
3. Remove six
Each cylinder has an exhaust push tube, intake push tube, and
injector push tube. The injector push tube is the largest and seats
in the cam follower socket. It is important that each push tube be
tagged so they can be reinstalled in the same location. Failure to
do so may result in damage to equipment.
