Start and idle engine at 800-1,000 rpm for 5-10 minutes, observing oil pressure (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Reset throttle and proceed to step 14.

CAUTION

If oil pressure drops below 10 psi (68 kPa), or rises sharply

above 30 psi (207 kPa), stop engine and correct as required.

Stop engine and inspect coolant and oil levels (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Inspect engine for leaks (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Start and run engine at 1/4-1/2 throttle until water temperature gauge (2) reaches 165°-195°F

(73°-90°C).

Stop engine and inspect coolant and oil levels (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Inspect engine for leaks (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Start and idle engine at 800-1,000 rpm as indicated on tachometer (1) for 5-10 minutes, observing

oil pressure gauge (3) for proper range (TM 9-2320-272-10).
