6.
Apply sealing compound to outside diameter of new oil seal (6).
7.
Place oil seal (6) on pilot (7).
8.
Install oil seal (6) with pilot (7) on crankshaft (3).
9.
Remove pilot (7) from crankshaft (3).
10.
Using alignment tool, drive oil seal (6) into gearcase cover (5).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:
Install vibration damper (para. 4-42).
Install tachometer drive (para. 4-51).
