d. Timing Pin Installation
1.
Apply antiseize compound to threads of two torx screws (18).
2.
Install new gasket (13) and timing pin housing (14) on gear housing (2) with two torx screws (18).
Tighten torx screws (18) 4 lb-ft (5 N·m).
3.
Install new O-ring (15), timing pin (16), and ring (17) in timing pin housing (14).
e. Front Gearcase Housing Installation
1.
Trim 0.0625 in, (1.59 mm) off bottom of new gasket (3) and apply gasket compound to both sides.
2.
Apply sealing compound to front of new oil pan gasket (5) (if replaced).
3.
Position new gasket (3) on engine block (4).
4.
Install gear housing (2) on engine block (4) with twenty-four screws (1). Tighten screws (1)
18 lb-ft (24 N·m).
5.
Install four washers (8), washers (6), and front oil pan screws (7) on oil pan (9) and gear housing (2).
Tighten screws (7) 18 lb-ft (24 N·m).
6.
Install front engine mount (12) on gear housing (2) with four washers (11) and screws (10). Tighten
screws (10) 82 lb-ft (111 N·m).
