EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Transmission PTO removed (para. 4-211).
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Keep tire extinguisher nearby when using
drycleaning solvent.
l
Drycleaning solvent is flammable and toxic.
Do not use near an open flame.
l
When cleaning with compressed air, wear
eyeshields and ensure source pressure does
not exceed 30 psi (207 kPa).
a. Disassembly
1.
Remove woodruff key (7) from PTO output driveshaft (8). Discard woodruff key (7).
2.
Remove four screws (3), shifter cover (2), gaskets (4) and (6), and spacer (5) from PTO housing (1).
Discard gaskets (4) and (6).
3.
Remove setscrew (11) and pipe plug (13) from PTO mating flange (12).
4.
Using arbor press, press idler pin (10) completely through PTO housing (1).
5.
Remove lube adapter (9) (if present) with idler pin (10).
