CAUTIO N

Be sure that the drive end housing separates

from the stator and that the stator remains

attached to the slipring housing to avoid

damage to the stator leads.

Remove the rotor and drive housing from the stator and slipring housing assembly (fig. 5-10).

If the drive end housing binds on the stator, loosen by tapping gently on the mounting ear with a rubber

mallet.
