7-2. Removal.

a. Remove four capscrews and washers that fasten ratio selector to mounting bracket and shift

tower brace. Lift off the ratio selector. The mounting bracket can be replaced by removing four capscrews

and Iockwashers.

After completing step

foreign matter. In addition, wrap mount-

ing flange in a plastic bag to keep it clean.

Turn ratio selector on its side and remove three capscrews that fasten umbilical cord mounting

flange. Disconnect the mounting flange and remove gasket.

c. Tag and disconnect wires from terminal strip (fig. 7-3).
