(3) Tighten Iocknut (1).

b. Checkout.

(1) Start and operate engine. (Refer to TM 9-2320-273-10.)

Operate engine retarder to determine that it functions when neither the hand throttle or

the accelerator pedal are depressed.

(3)

With either the accelerator pedal or the hand throttle engaged, try to place engine retarder

in operation. System must not be operable.
