Over adjustment can cause a potential

partial lock.

Tighten or loosen lock nut (21) as required for proper locking on the kingpin.

(3)

Check locking and unlocking motion three times.

Install fifth wheel plate (7) into brackets.

p.

Install two bolts (8), two castellated nuts (26) and tighten.

q.

Install new cotter pins (2).

r.

Install new cotter pins (2).
