INSTALLATION
NOTE
Installation of right and left brackets is the same. Left brackets are
shown.
One star washer shall be installed on center hole between new
stop/tail lamp mounting bracket and truck frame to ensure a good
electrical ground.
1.
Install star washer (figure 2, item 8) and left mounting bracket (figure 2, item 7) on rear frame section
(figure 2, item 9) and bracket (figure 2, item 7) with three screws (figure 2, item 6) and nuts
(figure 2, item 1).
2.
Install left mounting bracket (figure 2, item 3) on rear shackle mounting bracket (figure 2, item 2) with
new lockwasher (figure 2, item 4) and screw (figure 2, item 5).
3.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for installation of right mounting brackets (figure 2, items 3 and 7).
NOTE
Reuse grommets from removal. Ensure new lockwashers are used for
installation of receptacle and lamps.
4.
Install trailer light receptacle. Refer to TM 9-2320-283-20.
5.
Install stop/tail lamps. Refer to TM 9-2320-283-20.
6.
Install blackout tail lamps. Refer to TM 9-2320-283-20.
7.
Connect battery power. Refer to TM 9-2320-283-20.
