Remove rings, wristwatches, neck chains, and any other jewelry before working
around vehicle.
Jewelry can catch on equipment and cause serious injury.
Jewelry
and tools may short across electrical circuits and cause damage to equipment, or
severe burns or electrical shock to personnel.
Step 5.
Connect air lines at hose reel discharge valve.
Remove pump house panel K
(WP 0339).
Disconnect pump house wire harness hose reel discharge control valve
connector.
Put pump operator’s panel REEL DISCHARGE switch to OPEN position
(WP 0004).
With a test lead set, check for 22 to 28 VDC between pump house wire
harness wire 4098 (green) at pump house wire harness hose reel discharge control
valve connector, terminal 1 and a known good ground.
If 22 to 28 VDC are not present, go to Step 7.
Step 6.
Put pump operator’s panel REEL DISCHARGE switch to CLOSED position (WP 0004).
Pull battery disconnect switch to off position (WP 0007).
With a test lead set, check for
continuity across wire 2200 (black) from pump house wire harness hose reel discharge
control valve connector, terminal 2 to a known good ground.

If there is continuity, replace hose reel discharge control
valve (WP 0271).
b.
If there is no continuity, repair wire 2200 in pump house wire harness if
repairable (TM 9-2320-325-14&P), or replace pump house wire
harness (WP 0302).
Step 7.
Check if pump operator’s panel REEL DISCHARGE indicator is illuminated (WP 0004).
If indicator is not illuminated, go to Step 10.
