Remove rings, wristwatches, neck chains, and any other jewelry before working
around vehicle.
Jewelry can catch on equipment and cause serious injury.
Jewelry
and tools may short across electrical circuits and cause damage to equipment, or
severe burns or electrical shock to personnel.
Do not smoke, use open flame, make sparks or other ignition sources around
batteries.
A battery giving off gas could explode and cause injury to personnel.
Step 20.
Pull battery disconnect switch to off position (WP 0007).
Disconnect vehicle’s negative
battery terminals (TM 9-2320-325-14&P).
Check for continuity across pump house high
amperage 2/0 cable from pump house B+ stud to vehicle’s positive battery post.
a.
If there is continuity, replace pump house B+ stud (WP 0301).
b.
If there is no continuity, replace high amperage 2/0 gauge cable
between pump house B+ stud and vehicle’s batteries (WP 0251).
