Step 25.

Disconnect vehicle’s negative battery terminals (TM 9-2320-325-14&P).

Remove high

amperage 4 gauge cable by disconnecting high amperage 4 gauge cable from primer

pump motor control solenoid and pump house B+ terminal (WP 0251).

Reconnect

vehicle’s negative battery terminals (TM 9-2320-325-14&P). Push battery disconnect

switch to on position (WP 0007).

While an assistant puts and holds cab PUMP PRIME

switch to on position (WP 0004), check for continuity across primer pump control

solenoid from high amperage 4 gauge cable terminal to primer pump electrical strip.

a.

If there is continuity, replace primer pump (WP 0165).

b.

If there is no continuity, replace primer pump control

solenoid (WP 0300).

Step 26.

Prepare vehicle to pump from draft (WP 0018). Pull manual priming cable to closed

position (WP 0037).

Check if water is drawn to water pump (WP 0018).

If water is not drawn to water pump, go to Step 37.
