CLEANING AND INSPECTION

Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use
protective gloves and goggles. First aid for skin contact: remove contaminated clothing.
Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. First aid for eye contact: flush with water until
irritation subsides. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Failure to comply may
result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

Use solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 in a well ventilated area. Use respirator
as needed. Accidental ingestion can cause irritation of digestive tract and respiratory
tract. May cause lung and central nervous system damage. Can be fatal if swallowed.
Inhalation of high/massive concentrations can cause coma or be fatal. First aid for
ingestion: do not induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention. First aid for
inhalation: move to fresh air. If not breathing, provide artificial respiration. If symptoms
persist, seek medical attention. Failure to comply may result in death or injury to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

MIL-PRF-680 solvent is combustible; DO NOT use or store near heat, sparks, flame, or
other ignition sources. Use mechanical ventilation whenever product is used in a confined
space, heated above ambient temperatures, or agitated. Keep container sealed when
not in use. Failure to comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical
attention in the event of an injury.

Improper cleaning methods and use of unauthorized cleaning liquids or solvents can
injure personnel and damage equipment. Failure to comply may result in death or injury

Rags saturated with solvent cleaning compound must be disposed of IAW authorized
facility procedures. Failure to comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek
medical attention in the event of an injury.

Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 is toxic and flammable. Always wear protective
goggles and gloves, and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes,

Clean all removed components with cleaning solvent and soft cloth rag and allow to dry.
2.
Inspect backing plate for cracks, breaks, corrosion, or other damage. Replace backing plate if damaged.
