CONDITION/INDICATION

Is continuity measured across wire 1008B between diode assembly connector, terminal 11 and the rear junction

box?

DECISION

Yes - Go to (Step 10 - Are 22 to 28 vdc measured on wire 1008C at diode assembly connector, terminal 12?).

No - Go to (Step 9 - Can trailer main harness wire 1008B be repaired?).

Can trailer main harness wire 1008B be repaired?

WARNING

Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.

Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a

direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death

to personnel.

NOTE

Wire is not repairable if damage cannot be visually located or if a prior repair has already

reduced length of wire. Wire is not repairable if after repair, wire is too short to reach its

connection point.

Visually check if trailer main harness wire 1008B can be repaired.
