Final Drive Hubs
and Sprockets
WARNING
Wheel and suspension components may be
hot after operation. Do not touch hot
surfaces with bare hands. Failure to comply
may result in personnel injury.
1. Check for Class III oil leakage between final drive
and bottom of sprocket.
Any Class III leak.
2. Check for sheared mounting bolts. Check drive
sprockets for missing mounting bolts or broken
sprocket teeth. Check wear limit indicator on driving
side of sprocket tooth.
More than two final drive
hub studs sheared off on
any one final drive.
3. Check for, and remove, debris between inner
sprocket and hull.
Any portion of wear limit
indicator no longer visible
on driving side of
sprocket tooth. Any
sprocket broken or loose.
