Battery ground lead disconnected (WP 0294 00)

Power plant removed (WP 0131 00) (if rods are not

available)

Door opened and right side exhaust pipe removed

(WP 0189 00) (if rods are not available)

REMOVAL

NOTE

If power plant is in carrier and steel rods are available, go to ALTERNATE REMOVAL Step 1.

A helper is needed.

1.

Remove nut (1), lockwasher (2), and two ground leads (3) from terminal on starter (4). Discard lockwasher.

2.

Remove nut (5), lockwasher (6), and circuit 6 lead (7) from terminal on starter solenoid (8). Discard lockwasher.
