Remove three cotter pins (1), lock (2), spring (3), and washer (4) from control rod (5). Discard cotter pins.

7.

Remove spring pin (6) and lock (2) from control lever (7). Discard spring pin.

8.

Remove two pins (8) from housing (9).

CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPAIR

1.

Clean range selector parts with dry cloth.

2.

Check neutral parts switch leads and connectors. Replace bad leads or connectors (WP 0312 00).

3.

Test neutral start switch (WP 0406 00). Replace bad switch.

4.

Check springs. Replace broken or weak springs.

5.

Check control rod, cam, and shaft. Replace cracked or worn parts.
