REMOVAL
NOTE
Carrier may have a flat sight glass or a bubble sight glass. To remove flat sight glass, perform
REMOVAL Steps 1 - 2. To remove bubble sight glass, perform REMOVAL Steps 1 - 3.
1.
Place suitable container under drain cap (1). Remove cap, packing (2), and lockwire (3), and drain oil. Discard wire
and packing.
2.
Remove lockwire (4), four screws (5), washers (6), cover (7), and packing (8) from fan gearbox (9). Discard lockwire
and packing.
3.
Remove sight glass (10) and packing (11) from cover (7). Discard packing.
4.
Remove filler plug (12) from fan gearbox (9).
