Wipe up fuel spills immediately. Do not smoke near fuel or when working on the fuel system.

NOTE

Shield installed on M577A2 and M1068 carriers only.

1.

Remove four screws (1), lockwashers (2), washers (3), and shield (4) from sponson. Discard lockwashers.

2.

Depress plunger (5) until fluid is drained from collector bowl (6). Wipe up spilled fuel.

NOTE

Loosen head bolt as instructed. Do not remove head bolt from filter head.

Loosen head bolt (8) until filter element (7) with preformed packing (9) can be removed from filter head (10). Remove

head gasket (*) from filter head (10). Discard preformed packing and filter element.
