Equipment Condition

Firing mechanism removed (TM 9–2350–311–10)

Rack springs removed (para 2–4)

Relieve tension on adjuster (TM 9–2350–311–10)

Removal

CAUTION

Be careful when opening breechblock with spring tension released. Use operating handle to sup-

port breechblock as it is being opened. Otherwise, carrier will slam open and may be damaged.

Open breechblock (1) using one mechanic to slowly move operating handle (2) and the other to support

breechblock. Return operating handle to stop.

Depress detent (3) with punch.

Rotate breechblock (1) to LOCKED position.
