NOTE
A light frosted appearance or minor discoloration on
face of valves (1 and 2) does not mean valve is damaged.
1.
Check that faces of three intake valves (1) and three exhaust valves (2)
are not badly burned, pitted, worn or heavily discolored from overheating.
2.
Throw away damaged or worn intake valves (1) and exhaust valves (2) and
get new ones.
Send slightly pitted or burned intake valves and exhaust
valves to machine shop for grinding. See figure 4-6.
