NOTE

When drilling mounting holes drill one hole, mount the filter mounting plate, and use the

plate as a template for locating the other holes.

NOTE

Steps h through j apply to Figure 3--36. Reference should also be made to FO 3--2.

Mark locations for drilling three holes each for both left and right hydraulic high pressure filter mounting

plates in front bulkhead in upper portion of bowl area, for front compartment plate modifications. Refer to

FO 3--1. It may be desirable to place tape over area where holes will be drilled to make it easier to mark

location.

Drill and tap three holes for each main hydraulic filter mounting plate using 33/64” drill bit and 9/16” --12 tap.

Drill holes to a depth of 3/4” (19.05). Ensure all warnings are heeded during drilling.

Install insert, MS51831--104, in each hole in front bulkhead for two hydraulic filter mounting plates,

12496966, (three inserts for each mounting plate) and in three holes for new mounting location for filter

guard. Refer to FO 3--2 and to Figure 3--36.

NOTE

The main pump hydraulic filter assemblies are modified and loosely assembled prior to

installation in the bowl filter area. Individual filter assembly components are tightened

after installation on mounting plates in the bowl.
