HEU HOSE ASSEMBLIES “CD” AND “CE” REPLACEMENT (Sheet 1 of 1)
TOOLS:
12-in. Adjustable wrench
13/16 in. open end wrench
SUPPLIES:
Drip pans (suitable containers)
Protective caps and plugs (assorted sizes)
Rags (Item 12, Appendix D)
Pencil (Item 22, Appendix D)
Masking Tape (Item 18, Appendix D)
Preformed packing (as required)
REFERENCE: LO-12
PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES:
Zero hydraulic pressure (page 3-70.5)
NOTE
Use rags and drip pans to catch excess hydraulic fluid.
Use tape to tag lines
for installation.
Cap or plug all lines and fittings as they are disconnected.
Use this procedure to replace either counter balance valve depressurization
hoses “CD” (A) or “CE” (B).
REMOVAL:
1.
Hold depressurization manifold fitting (C) with adjustable wrench and use wrench to disconnect hose “CD” (A)
or “CE” (B) from fitting (C).
2.
Hold counter balance valve tee (D) with adjustable wrench and use wrench to disconnect hose “CD” (A) or “CE”
(B) from tee (D) and remove hose (B).
INSTALLATION:
1.
Hold fitting (D) with adjustable wrench and use wrench to connect hose “CD” (A) or “CE” (B) to fitting (D).
2.
Hold fitting (C) with adjustable wrench and use wrench to connect hose “CD” (A) or “CE” (B) to fitting (C).
3.
Bleed hydraulic system (page 3-72).
4.
Check for hydraulic leaks and correct as necessary.
5.
Service hydraulic reservoir as needed (LO-12).
