NOTE

Assistant will help with steps 1 and 2.

1.

Install mounting bracket (3) on left frame rail (3) with four screws (7) and new locknuts (9). Do not

tighten locknuts (9).

2.

Install mounting plate (4) and steering gear (5) on

left

frame rail (8) with four screws (6), washers (2),

and nuts (1). Tighten nuts (1) 260-280 left (353-380 N•m).

3.

Tighten locknuts (9) 69-70

lb-ft

(81-95 N•m).

NOTE

Wrap male pipe threads with antiseize tape before installation.

4.

Install new O-rings (12), (15), and (20), adapter elbows (10) and (18), and adapters (13) and (16) on

steering gear housing (5).

5.

Connect assist cylinder pressure lines (17) and (19) to adapter elbow (18) and adapter (16).

6.

Connect oil return line (14) and oil pressure line (11) to steering gear housing adapter (13) and

adapter elbow (10).
