Remove rings, wristwatches, neck chains, and any other jewelry before working
around vehicle.
Jewelry can catch on equipment and cause serious injury.
Jewelry
and tools may short across electrical circuits and cause damage to equipment, or
severe burns or electrical shock to personnel.
Step 3.
Pull battery disconnect switch to OFF position (WP 0007).
Disconnect SINCGARS
VRCU interface cable from SINCGARS VRCU (TM 11-5820-890-10).
Push battery
disconnect switch to ON position (WP 0007).
With a test lead set, check for 10 to 14
VDC between SINCGARS VRCU interface cable connector, terminal D and a known
good ground.
If 10 to 14 VDC are not present at SINCGARS VRCU interface cable
connector, terminal D, replace SINCGARS VRCU interface cable assembly
(WP 0260).
Step 4.
With a test lead set, check for continuity across SINCGARS VRCU interface cable, from
SINCGARS VRCU interface cable connector, terminal a to a known good ground.

If there is continuity at SINCGARS VRCU interface cable connector,
terminal a, notify Supervisor.
b.
If
there is no continuity at SINCGARS VRCU interface cable
connector, terminal a, replace SINCGARS VRCU interface cable
assembly (WP 0260).
