Move drawbar assist lever (Figure 7, Item 3) to RAISE position and raise drawbar (Figure 7, Item 7) on trailer
(Figure 7, Item 5) until it contacts spare tire (Figure 7, Item 6). Return drawbar air assist lever (Figure 7, Item
3) to NEUTRAL position.

Apply parking brake (Figure 7, Item 4) on trailer (Figure 7, Item 5). Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190).
19.
Route tiedown strap (Figure 7, Item 2) under drawbar (Figure 7, Item 7) of trailer (Figure 7, Item 5) and attach
ends of tiedown strap (Figure 7, Item 2) to tiedown rings (Figure 7, Item 1) on trailer (Figure 7, Item 5).
20.
Tighten tiedown strap (Figure 7, Item 2) to hold drawbar (Figure 7, Item 7) securely against spare tire (Figure
7, Item 6) of trailer (Figure 7, Item 5).
WARNING
Trailer weighs 16,500 lbs (7,484 kg). Attach suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may
result in injury or death to personnel.

All personnel must stay clear of trailers while lifting is in progress. Failure to comply may result
in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
If trailer is not level while lifting, lower trailer and adjust lifting chains.

With the aid of an assistant, attach lifting chains and lifting device to four lifting eyes (Figure 8, Item 1) on front
and rear of trailer (Figure 8, Item 2).
