Tiedown strap is used for a guiding strap.
•
Attach a guiding strap to trailer to aid in controlling the trailer while lifting.

Attach guide strap (Figure 8, Item 3) to trailer (Figure 8, Item 2).

With the aid of an assistant, lift trailer (Figure 8, Item 2) approximately 6.0 in. (152.4 mm) off ground and visually
inspect that trailer will lift in a level manner.

Release parking brakes (Figure 9, Item 1) on trailer (Figure 9, Item 2). Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10
