Visually inspect that trailer (Figure 10, Item 3) is seated evenly on trailer (Figure 10, Item 5).
29.
Apply parking brakes (Figure 9, Item 1) on trailer (Figure 10, Item 3) and stow wheel chocks. Refer to TM
9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190).
30.
Remove guide strap (Figure 8, Item 3) from trailer (Figure 10, Item 3).
31.
Move air assist lever (Figure 11, Item 3) on trailer (Figure 11, Item 2) to RAISE position and raise drawbar
(Figure 11, Item 4) to highest position. Return air assist lever (Figure 11, Item 3) to NEUTRAL position.

Route tiedown strap (Figure 11, Item 6) through front bumper (Figure 11, Item 1) of trailer (Figure 11, Item 2)
and attach ends of tiedown straps (Figure 11, Item 6) to tiedown rings (Figure 11, Item 5) on drawbar (Figure
11, Item 4). Tighten tiedown strap securely.
33.
Route safety chain (Figure 12, Item 2) from right front of trailer (Figure 12, Item 5) through tiedown eye (Figure
12, Item 3) on right rear of trailer (Figure 12, Item 4) and install on shackle (Figure 12, Item 1) on left front of
trailer (Figure 12, Item 5).
