CONDITION/INDICATION
Does quick disconnect check valve allow 125 ± 5 psi (861 ± 34 kPa) to pass through hose 2229?
DECISION
Yes - Go to (Step 5 - Does test equipment pass offset test?).
No - Replace check valve (WP
0083). Go to (Step 13 - Does drawbar raise and remain raised?) to verify problem
is solved.
STEP 5
Does test equipment pass offset test?
WARNING
Air systems are under pressure. Be sure to wear the proper eye protection to avoid injury or
death. If air hoses are disconnected while under 90 to 125 psi (621-862 kPa) of pressure,
they can whip around. Air system should be drained before air hoses are disconnected.
Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
1.
Pull out trailer charge valve in vehicle. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
2.
Turn OFF ENGINE switch. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
3.
Disconnect TK pressure transducer (blue stripe) from hose 2229.
4.
Connect hose 2229 to air reservoir 1.
5.
Drain trailer air system. Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190).
6.
Disconnect air hose 2228 from air bag control valve.

7.
Connect TK pressure transducer (blue stripe) to air hose 2228.
8.
Perform ICE Offset Test 50.

Yes - Go to (Step 6 - Does air reservoir 1 check valve allow 125 ± 5 psi (861 ± 34 kPa) to pass through hose
2228?).
No - Test equipment failed offset. Contact your Supervisor.
